Day trip - Bathurst
After Nathan saying over and over how much he wanted to see somewhere else in Australia besides the Illawarra, we planned a day trip to Bathurst. It's a little town more inland about 3 hours from where we live. One of the sites on our way there. I found that there is a place in Australia that can remind me of home. It's flat and has nothing much in it...if only it was a corn field then it would have been just like home!
Finally in Bathurst
Coke has a "share a coke with..." thing going on, so I spotted Jeremy finally. Just took a photo of it though since neither of us can stand the taste of it!
Mount Pandrama race track.
Looking up at the top of the track
Where all the people with too much money sit :p
I figured I would not bore you all with the countless photos of every turn in the track. But since this track is a normal road when there is not a race we were allowed to drive it. So Jeremy drove it the right way around (like they would in a real race) and Nathan drove it the other way just to be different.
After we finished with the track, sice that is the only main site in Bathurst, me and Becky got to have our fun, shopping!
Seeing as Australia is not the most Christian based coutry, I guess this is the only way to get people into church?

Sarah and Dave's Wedding
Here are a few shots of the wedding. The first 2 are mine, the rest I stole from friends on fb....once we get the real photographer's photos I'll post some better ones, but for now, enjoy!
Sorry for how bad the quality of these are! Seems most people don't use REAL camera's anymore, just those phones that don't take the best photos :/

New Home Part 2
After spending most of the day with a headache, as well as being out trying to gather stuff for the Bucks party tomorrow I didn't think I'd would get any photos taken...but seeing as hubby is working late I figured I better take a least a few!
So here is the living room (even though today on the phone to mom I kept calling it the lounge room, I think I've been is Aus too long!) We still need to get a bit more storage, since we are storage kinda people :) But other then that this is how it will stay, can't see to well from the photo but this room is HUGE! We could fit another big couch in here easy!
And here is the dinning, It's almost in the lounge room (see I'm doing it again!) but right off the kitchen which is perfect. I don't think they really had this place set up to have a dinning room, which is why it's in a bit of an odd spot.
Now as for the bedrooms....I will post thoses in...a few months! Seeing as they don't have built-in wardrobes (closets) I have boxes on the floor, and hanging clothes just out in the open. So once I buy a dresser of some kind, and a free-standing wardrobe then my bedroom will look presetable!

New Home
Well I'm slowly settling into my new home sweet home!
I've made it through *most* of the boxes, only a few really left that I'll get through later. For now here are a few photos of the rooms that are clean! lol
My kitchen. We are going to look at putting an island bench in to make a bit more prep room.
The little fridge! And here I was worried about it not fitting!
My WONDERFUL walk-in pantry! I have to say I love it!
My laundry. Most people here don't use a dryer, which is why I don't have one right now. But after having someone trying to steal my clothes off the line (very scary to walk around my building to find a man with his hands on my clothes!) I will be thinking about getting one, for now I just use a drying rack.

That's all for now, I'll do some more cleaning tomorrow and *hopefully* post the rest of the house then.

What the next few months look like
Today: Bake cupcakes for bridal shower, and plan game.
Tomorrow: Shoe shopping for wedding, as well as find full length slips since dresses are to thin, grr.
Next week: Find house to rent that HAS home phone/internet, finish packing, help hubby make bucks night invites.
Within the next month: Get dress altered for the wedding, since no I'm not 5'9" and I'm not wearing 6" shoes to fix it!(I'd tower over the bride in that case!). Move to somewhere(that has 2 bedrooms, home phone line, near a train, with a laundry) , make list of everywhere I have to tell I've moved, Get house ready for company, make food for hens night, make food for hubby for bucks night.
Within next two months: Wedding rehearsal, Wedding, 3 birthdays in the family, finish Christmas shopping for American family, Start Christmas shopping for Australian family, Plan early Christmas before Becky, Nathan and Addy leave.
I'm sure this list will be added to when I think of more!

House hunting
So time has come, to move into our own little house! I'm so looking forward to opening up all those boxes of kitchen stuff! But back to reality...finding a place. So the problem is the cost of renting here, if you find something under $200pw you are lucky, and that most likely will not be a house, but a unit/apartment/flat. So we found one, $190 a week, but just got the news today that the owner has pulled out :( So went and looked at one today, I really did like it, just have to double check as to if that's a good location or not. It's not really where I wanted to move, but seeing as I have only a month left to find something, we are going to have to settle very soon.

Anniversary
On Saturday we celebrated our Anniversary, a day early but we wanted to make a whole day of it so that was easiest.
On Friday night when I went to pick Jeremy up at the train he got into the car with these... They smell so good! Think I'll just spend most of today looking at them rather then cleaning :-p
Jeremy with his chocolates. Though with this photo you'd think I bought them for him...so we'll just leave it that way ;)
Yummy!
The view we should of had on the bottom, and what we really saw. Will have to stop at the look out one day when it's nice and sunny
The entrée, Bug and Prawn risotto I have to say that was my favorite :)
Barramundi over potato bake
Salmon over potato purée
Needless to say, after all that we were pretty stuffed. So we went shopping for a bit before getting dessert.
My taste of home, since cold rock is pretty close to cold stone which I loved over in the states. Oh and hot chocolate since it was so cold that day!
After we finished dessert we took off to see Lion King in 3D which was great!
Minus the horrible weather we still had a great day out :)
